Dr. Bilal Ali, LCAD-C, LCPC
President of CMDS' Residential Programs
Dr. Bilal Ali joined CMDS in 2019 as executive director of residential programs, where he is responsible for all clinic and physical operations, as well as all program offerings, at Fayette House, the name of CMDS' residential treatment facility.
Born, raised, and educated in Baltimore, Dr. Ali has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of mental health and substance use disorders. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Baltimore, a Masters in Psychology at Coppin State University, and an Honorary Doctorate from Global Ove Dai Seminary and University (aka G.O.D.S.U). He has dual licenses as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug-Counselor (LCAD-C). Dr. Ali also earned a lay community health education certificate from Johns Hopkins University. He is a board-approved supervisor on a board of professional counselors and therapists.
In addition, Dr. Ali sits on several community boards, including Empowering Minds of Our Youth, Inc., Code of the Schools, and New Vision Youth Services.
Prior to joining CMDS, he was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates' 41st Legislative District where he has a long record of service to the community, including organizing Thanksgiving dinners for homeless Baltimoreans and leading school supply drives for the City's youth.
